My grandfather, Francis L. Abreu, was an architect with the firm Abreu & Robson. Unfortunately I did not get the opportunity to meet him, however, I feel I have inherited my ability for design through him. He is known for his Spanish style architecture, and designed residential and commercial buildings including The original Cloister on Sea Island and numerous residential properties in Fort Lauderdale, Atlanta, and Brunswick. He also designed a home for playright Eugene O'neal on Sea Island. I have an eye for Modern to classic Georgian style architecture.
My other grandfather, Bill Wimbish, was a furniture maker in Atlanta. He grew his furniture company out of his garage and at the time of his death in 1976 he was employing about 20 skilled craftsman and operated in a 30,000sf manufacturing facility in downtown Atlanta.
